Machine-originated
Information for Mobile Staff
The increased use and investment in computerised
control and monitor systems have lead to large
efficient gains, but to constantly monitor these
systems is not an efficient use of resources.
Multitone, using its unparalleled experience in
radio communications, has developed the RPE670
Series to provide a time critical link between
computerised systems and key staff, without the
need for continuously manned monitor stations.
A New Solution
The integration of paging into security systems,
fire panels, process controllers, building
management, nurse and warden call systems has
now moved a step forward with the introduction
of the RPE670 Series. This product offers a high
quality, cost-effective and easy to install
solution to the problem of integrating mobile
communications with the growing range of
computer based applications.
RS232 Coupled and Multiple
Message Types
The RPE670 Series encoder enables any system
with an RS232 port to send time critical
information directly to an engineer or
supervisory staff via a text pager. Information
can be presented as either a tone, numeric or
text message with 1-way speech an option.
Time Sensitive Data for
Mobile Staff
The RPE670 Series allows mobile staff to
remotely monitor key systems from anywhere
within the workplace. The need to continuously
man monitor station is removed. Not only is
greater staff efficiency achieved, but also a
swift response to emergencies is obtained.
Easy to use interface
A dedicated serial port is required on the
originating device and our paging protocol (MEP),
TAP, ESPA 4.4.4 should be implemented. We can
supply a fully documented support package, to
enable easy programming of equipment. In
situations where either MEP, TAP or ESPA 4.4.4
protocols cannot be implemented the RPE670
Series can still provide a paging interface via
the Field Configurable Protocol Converter (FCPC).
This converts ASCII or a data string from an
event logging port into relevant paging
messages.
Features:
- Unsupervised monitoring
- High quality
cost-effective one box solution
- Simple to install
- Time critical information
to mobile staff
- Serial machine interface
- Text messages
- Open/closing contacts
- Differing alert tone
