The VideoJet 1000 video server
combines simultaneous MPEG-2 and MPEG-4
transmission with professional alarm features.
MPEG-2, the digital video
compression standard originally developed for
broadcasting, produces extremely sharp pictures
with superb detail, e.g. for better readability
of car number plates. In case of strictly
limited bandwidth the more compact MPEG-4
standard hits the spot.
Compatible with PAL or NTSC
sources it can function both as a transmitter
and as a receiver when linked to a monitor and
its video signal can be simultaneously displayed
on a PC using the supplied software decoder,
VIDOS or even a web browser.
With an integral hard disk the
VideoJet 1000 becomes a DVR with a storage
capacity of up to 960 hours, allowing for
simultaneous playback and backup while
recording.
